BBC Radio 2 500 Words Competition 2016

Chris Evans has launched this year’s BBC 500 Words Competition – you have until the 25th February 2016 to write a short 500 word story.  The prizes are fantastic: you could win Chris Evans’ height in books (he’s a tall man) and the final will be live from Shakespeare’s Globe on the 27th May. Thursday 28th February – Sony Young Movellist of the Year Competition

Tuesday 25th September – Storytelling Festival

The Scottish International Storytelling Festival is on soon, with venues in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, and loads of really interesting events. The theme this year is ‘Once Upon a Story: Folktales of Europe’.
