Chris Evans has launched this year’s BBC 500 Words Competition – you have until the 25th February 2016 to write a short 500 word story. The prizes are fantastic: you could win Chris Evans’ height in books (he’s a tall man) and the final will be live from Shakespeare’s Globe on the 27th May. The Scottish International Storytelling Festival is on soon, with venues in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, and loads of really interesting events. The theme this year is ‘Once Upon a Story: Folktales of Europe’.
