Today we welcome the author Philip Caveney (aka Danny Weston) who has come to speak to the second year about his books and how he writes.  His creepy atmospheric novel The Piper was Book of the Week back in November last year (click on the book cover to see what we said about it), and it has just won the Older Readers Category in the 2016 Scottish Children’s Book Awards, which just proves that we really can spot those award winners!

His other novel as Danny Weston is Mr Sparks – this week’s Book of the Week.  Have a look tomorrow, when we will have a review posted on this blog.  Both Danny Weston’s books are available to borrow from the Library – they are currently on display on the main issue desk.
